The Human Torch finds a Lava man named Molto who tells Thor that the Lava witch doctor, Jinku, stole the Mole Man’s machine capable of erupting the world’s volcanoes. Although Jinku manages a clever ruse, he and his lava people are eventually defeated in battle involving 100,000s of combatants and return to their lava home.

Episode 91. James B and Eddie discuss two 1974 issues with tough decisions for ol’ webhead.
(1:59) In the Amazing Spider-man 137 “The Green Goblin Strikes!” We open with the Goblin attacking an “Atomic Industries” truck and stealing a small metal cylinder which he uses to create a traumatic triple jeopardy for Spidey.
(16:02) Giant-Size Spider-man and Master of Kung Fu in “Masterstroke!” Spiderman stops a robbery but these thugs use karate and nunchucks and throwing stars. They say they serve Shang Chi and then they are all electrocuted in their suits and die. Meanwhile Shang Chi faces thugs are dressed like Spidey fans and tell Shang Chi that they work for Spider-Man.

Peter’s enjoying a day boat ride down the East River with Liz, MJ, and Flash when the Tarantula accompanied by his sidekicks, Hidalgo and Juan, hijack the boat! Peter slips away while the Tarantula subdues the crew with a few “stings”. In the scuffle a crew member is thrown overboard but thankfully saved by Spidey when he swings him onto a nearby bridge.

Episode 87. James B and Eddie discuss two issues with the Molten Man.

Oh great Spidey is sick again. That always means the villain is going to be terrible. Our sick hero watches some cops investigating a break in at the natural history museum. The cops let the reader know that only rocks were taken as Spider-Man lets the reader know he thinks he knows who is behind it (so do we since we can see on the cover). Will the Molten Man really be a challenge?

The Molten man is breaking into the hospital to kill Ned Leeds! After nearly being discovered, Peter wakes up, changes into Spidey, and douses Molty with a fire hose. The Molten Man escapes and Spidey checks on Ned before he heads over to MJ's to see how Liz is doing after encountering her last issue.

In a non-Spidey issue, Prof. Paxton Pentecost has finally succeeded in resurrecting Blastaar, a recurring villain for the Fantastic Four who escaped the negative zone, a nasty place which we saw earlier in Marvel Team Up 2. Blastaar tries to attack Prof. Pentecost but the Professor has control over him and wants him to destroy a special building made from Adamantium.
(7:21)) From March 1974, Stan Lee Presents the Spider-Man and Ka-Zar together in Marvel Team-Up 19 “”The Coming of Stegron the Dinosaur Man!” Written by Len Ween, Art by Gil Kane Inked by Frank Giacoia
Spidey is web-parachuting into the Savage Land to help Curt Conners find Dr. Stegron, a half-man, half-dinosaur. After Ka-zar and Zabu help Spidey with a few feisty dinos, the pair are captured by the Swamp-men and taken to a temple. There, Dr. Stegron, in snakey dino form, explains he wants to return dinosaurs as the rightful rulers of earth.

Spidey attacks some yellow suited goons climbing out of a manhole cover. As he tries to question one of them his mind is fried before he can speak the full name of his boss!
Meanwhile in a meeting between the Jackal and Hammerhead, the Jackal mocks and toys with Hammerhead. Hammerhead curses the Jackal and Doc Ock. The Jackal departs, thinking himself a puppeteer manipulating two of his criminal adversaries into fighting each other

Spidey is peeking at Doc Ock at the altar with Aunt May when Hammerhead breaks down the door! Doc ock quickly shepherds Aunt May to his brilliantly designed underground helipad!
They board a Sikorsky and are quickly followed by Hammerhead in a considerably more retro helicopter that Spidey manages to latch onto. Hammerhead stealthily pilots after the bride and groom into Canada where it is revealed what Aunt May’s inheritance is.

After surviving his battle with the Vulture, Peter continues to snoop into the Christine’s background and discovers her roommate was recently murdered by the Vulture. His investigation eventually leads him to a ship named “Dusseldorf” where Peter bumps into the Vulture again and is promptly chucked into the ocean to die!
